Program Requirements & How to Apply

The Undergraduate Research Fellowship is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors enrolled in four-year colleges and universities. Students from backgrounds underrepresented in science careers are strongly encouraged to apply.

For summer 2024, the program will be held onsite at the VCU Health campus in downtown Richmond from Monday, May 20-Friday, July 26. Participants must be available and willing to attend in-person for the full 10 weeks of the summer fellowship and be able to commit to at least 30 daytime hours per week Monday-Friday (actual hours may vary depending on your research project and arrangements made with your faculty mentor).

There are four different sub-fellowships through which students can apply to become a Pauley Undergraduate Research Fellow.
